The following pages were excepted from Harry Wright Newman's book entitled: "Anne Arundel Gentry, A Genealogical History of Some Early Families of Anne Arundel County, Maryland." At this time, I have no ideas as to when this book was published. However, someone spent the time and took the effort to scan particularly interesting parts of the book for posterity. During my intensive research, I came by the scanned images of this book that specifically detailed the Burgess Family of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, during the colonial period of this country. I cannot recall where I originally obtained these images, but I wish to acknowledge their time and effort for making this presentation possible.
