Victor - The Rev. Charlie Lewis Willis, 83, of Victor died Oct. 2, 1998, in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Victor, a Baptist minister with more than 50 years' service pastoring many local churches, a member of Mount Cove Baptist Church and a retired miner. Surviving: wife, Josephine Willis; daughters, Merri King of Fayetteville, Patricia Sevy of Cross Lanes, Ammie Neal of Fayetteville, Nioka Cole of Kernersville, N.C.; sons, Reginald, Shirley and Grayson Willis, all of Victor, Charlie Willis of Rittman, Ohio, Timothy Willis of Dalton, Ohio; sister, Verma Wilson of Victor; brothers, Crate Willis of Victor, Alonzo Willis of Grafton, Ohio; 33 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, with the Rev. Paul Legg officiating. Burial will be in the Willis cemetery, Victor. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Surviving: sons, Anthony of Fayetteville, Leonard and Thomas, both of Bunker Hill; mother, Elizabeth Joann Willis of Victor; father and stepmother, Reginald and Rachel Willis of Victor; sisters, Patricia Brown of Martinsburg, Patsy Dempsey of Bunker Hill, Eva Underwood of Greenville, Va., Barbara Dempsey of Victor, Janet Lively of Beckley, Brenda Willis and Phyllis Willis, both of Coal City, Colo., Donna Campbell of Lookout, Amber Grimmett of Ansted, Lisa Lykens of Edmond; brothers, Adam Willis of Bunker Hill, Reginald Jr. and Brian Willis, both of Victor; maternal grandmother, Mildred Dempsey of Victor; paternal grandmother, Josephine Willis of Victor; 12 nieces; 12 nephews.
