Note: Youngstown, Ohio - Robert L. Dempsey Sr., 61, of Youngstown died June 22, 1997, at Lakeside Campground, Berlin, after an apparent heart attack.
He was a retired pattern maker from General Motors Corp. fabricating plant, Youngstown. He was a member of Boardman United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge 2113, United Auto Workers Retirees 1714 and American Legion Post 472 and an Army veteran.
Surviving: wife, Delys Janice Ayers Dempsey; daughters, Diane Kulikowsky of Charlotte, N.C., Holli Cornelli of Cleveland; sisters, Celeste Withrow of Fayetteville, W.Va., Betty Wilson of Melbourne, Fla.; brothers, William of Aiken, S.C., Jerry Dempsey of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren.
Service will be noon Friday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, W.Va., with the Rev. Lee Kendrick officiating. Burial, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3110, Oak Hill, will be in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
