Ansted - James Wesley Hall, 72, of Ansted died Aug. 2, 1995, at Plateau Area Medical Center, Oak Hill, after a long illness. He was a security guard for Hawk's Nest State Park and former Ansted chief of police. He was a lifelong resident of Ansted, a member of Ansted Chapter of VFW and a Navy veteran of World War II Surviving: wife, Margaret McVey Hall; daughters, Mickey Treadway of Hico, Tina Hernandez of Charleston; son, Larry of Ansted; sister, Gloria Ann Goulick of Ansted; brother, Donald of Marion, Ohio; four grandchildren. Service was held Aug. 5, 1995, at Chapel of Rest Mausoleum Chapel, Victor, with the Rev. John Barnhouse officiating. Burial with military rites was in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, was in charge of arrangements.

Marion, Ohio - Donald Keith Hall, 64, formerly of Ansted, passed away Friday, March 8, 2002, in a Dayton, Ohio hospital following a long illness. Born July 2, 1937, at Ansted, he was the son of the late Thomas and Clarah Dempsey Hall. Mr. Hall was an advisor with Alcohol Anonymous. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Musgrave and Barbara Oreck and three brothers, Jim, John and Robert Hall. Survivors include four daughters, Donna Hall, Betty Hall and Sharon Kay Thompson, all of Marion, Ohio and Rebecca Aponte; three sons, Dale Hall and Phillip Hall, both of Marion, Ohio and Thomas Howard Hall; a sister, Gloria Gulick of Ansted; and five grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. today at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Ansted, with the Rev. Freddie Parkins officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wallace & Wallace, Ansted.

She was a homemaker and a life member of Pythian Sisters of West Virginia. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, both in Charleston.
Surviving: daughters, Helen Carte of Hugheston, Jean Lois Carpenter of Ohio; son, Ronald B. of Beckley; sisters, Alice Wright of South Charleston, Kay Beach of Charleston, Virginia Quillin of Chapmanville; brother, Kermit Hammack of Florida; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, with the Rev. Ron Stoner officiating. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Victor.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where there will be a Pythian service at 7:30 p.m.
