Siberian DreamsA Boy And His Dog More often than not, cats do not simply fit into a guy's lifestyle. Cats are often too independent and do not fit a guy's idea of of a faithful companion. Dogs do. Perhaps it is a "guy thing" because dogs often figure into stories a man fondly recalls. These fondly recalled stories relate something similar to "Old Yeller", "Lassie', 'Rin-Tin-Tin" or "The Littlest Hobo". It seems a guy needs a canine companion to make their life whole and complete. As I grew up, I have had always had a dog. It was not until 1983, that I realized how important to have a canine companion was in my life. Back then, I found and adopted "Pooter". Being a Blue Heeler/retriever mix, she grew to be the best dog I have ever owned. She was very intelligent, gentle and loveable. It was a sad day when I had to let her go after 14 years of her undying companionship. In February 1997, Mystique came into my life. As a pure bred Siberian Husky puppy of 4 weeks of age, she became not only a new challenge, but a faithful canine companion that made my life whole again.
